How can I buy a ticket through the internet?

The facility of online ticket-purchase is available at the corporate website of Olympic Airlines (www.olympicairlines.com), either via the Homepage, or via "BOOK NOW" option at the horizontal navigation-bar.
Visitors of an OA local website can reach this facility by clicking on the link "Book Online".





Where can I find Help?

You can click on "User Help" at the bottom of the page. "User Help" will guide you step by step to make your booking and purchase your ticket.





In what currency will I pay my ticket?

You will pay your ticket in the currency of the country that you start your journey (departing airport).





What are the Credit Cards that your system accepts?

You can purchase your ticket by the following credit cards: Visa, MasterCard, American Express.





Is it possible to buy a ticket for another person and charge it to my Credit Card?


Certainly; you can buy a ticket for another person by charging your credit card, regardless if you travel together or not.





What should I do when I travel with an infant or/and children?

You just complete all relevant fields (number of children/infants traveling, names, gender, date of birth). According to International Regulations, only one infant per adult is allowed.
At the airport, you should present their traveling documents. The age is certified via the identity card or the passport.





"Type of fare": what is the difference between the various types of fares?

The differences between the types of fares we offer are related to:
the restrictions regarding changes, cancellations and child /infant discounts
the price (the lowest price, the most restrictions apply)
the service (more privileges to business class passengers)





What restrictions apply to Economy class for international flights?

A. Economy Restricted
Changes: Change of date is allowed by paying the difference to the next higher available fare. Ticket can be used within a year from the original departure date.
Exception: changes are not allowed for destinations from Madrid to Athens.
Cancellations (either before or after the journey is started): These tickets are not refundable. Taxes are refundable for the non-flown segment (refund to the credit card). In case of non-show at the airport, there is a penalty of EUR30.00.
Exception: For the higher fares of this type (K/class), 50% of the fare is refundable, plus the taxes as mentioned above.
Child / Infant Discount: There are not discounts for children and infants except for the following cases:
For travel from Paris/ Brussels/ Germany/ Italy/ Vienna/ Tirana to Greece -and- from Thessaloniki to London, 90% discount for the first infant per adult (0-24 months), on the selected adult fare.
For travel from Vienna/ Tirana to Greece -and- from Thessaloniki to London, 33% discount for children (2-12 years).
For travel from Paris to Greece, 33% discount for children (2-12 years).

B. Economy Semi Flexible
Changes: Change of date is allowed to the same fare with no extra charge. If this fare is not available, change can be made, by paying the difference to the next higher available fare. Ticket can be used within a year from the original departure date.
Cancellations before the journey is started: These tickets are partially refundable (refund to the credit card). The non-refundable amount depends on the selected fare and varies from EUR25.00 to 50% of the fare. Taxes are refundable.
Cancellations after the journey is started: These tickets are partially refundable (refund to the credit card). The refundable amount is the difference between the paid fare and the equivalent one-way fare. Taxes are refundable for the non-flown segment (refund to the card). In case of non-show at the airport, there is a penalty of EUR30.00.
Child / Infant Discount: 33% discount for children (2-12 years) and 90% discount for the first infant per adult (0-24 months), on the selected adult fare.
Exception: For travel from Paris to Athens the discount for children is 25%.

C. Economy Fully Flexible
Changes: Change of date is allowed to the same fare with no extra charge. If this fare is not available, change can be made, by paying the difference to the next higher available fare. Ticket can be used within a year from the original departure date.
Cancellations (either before or after the journey is started): These tickets are refundable (refund to the credit card).
Exception: For travel from Germany to Greece, M/class:
Cancellations before the journey is started: These tickets are partially refundable (refund to the credit card). The non-refundable amount is EUR25.00 for one-way trip and EUR50.00 for round-trip. Taxes are refundable.
Cancellations after the journey is started: These tickets are partially refundable (refund to the credit card). The refundable amount is the difference between the paid fare and the equivalent one-way fare. Taxes are refundable for the non-flown segment (refund to the card). In case of non-show at the airport, there is a penalty of EUR30.00.
Child / Infant Discount: 33% discount for children (2-12 years) and 90% discount for the first infant per adult (0-24 months), on the selected adult fare.
Exception: For travel from Paris to Athens the discount for children is 25%.






What restrictions apply to Business class for international flights?

A. Business Class Semi Flexible
Changes: Changes are allowed to the same fare with no extra charge. If this fare is not available, change can be made, by paying the difference to the next higher available fare. Ticket can be used within a year from the original departure date.
Cancellations before the journey is started: These tickets are refundable (refund to the credit card).
Cancellations after the journey is started: These tickets are partially refundable (refund to the credit card). The refundable amount is the difference between the total paid fare and the equivalent one-way C/class fare (Business class fully flexible). Taxes are refundable for the non-flown segment.
Child / Infant Discount: 33% discount for children (2-12 years) and 90% discount for the first infant per adult (0-24 months), on the selected adult fare.

B. Business Class Fully Flexible
Changes: Changes are allowed. Ticket can be used within a year from the original departure date.
Cancellations (either before or after the journey is started): These tickets are refundable (refund to the credit card). Taxes are refundable.
Child / Infant Discount: 33% discount for children (2-12 years) and 90% discount for the first infant per adult (0-24 months), on the selected adult fare.





What restrictions apply to Economy class for domestic flights?

A. Changes:
Ticket can be used within a year from the original departure date.
Same rules apply for all types of fares, of Economy class:
Earlier than 24 hours before departure
Change of date is allowed to the same fare with no extra charge. If this fare is not available, change can be made, by paying the difference to the next higher available fare.
Within the last 24 hours before departure
Change of date is allowed to the same fare with a penalty of EUR15.00. If this fare is not available, change can be made, by paying the difference to the next higher available fare.
B. Cancellations:
Same rules apply for all types of fares, of Economy class:
Earlier than 24 hours before departure
Tickets are refundable (refund to the credit card). Taxes are refundable.
Within the last 24 hours before departure
Tickets are partially refundable (refund to the credit card). Non-refundable amount is EUR15.00. Taxes are refundable. In case of non-show at the airport, there is a penalty of EUR30.00.
C. Child / Infant Discount:
Children 2-12 years / first Infant per adult, 0-24 months
Discount applies on the selected adult fare.
Economy restricted: 25% discount for children - 90% discount for infant
Economy semi flexible: 33% discount for children - 90% discount for infant
Economy fully flexible: 50% discount for children - 90% discount for infant

Why don't I get the cheapest fare?

Probably this fare is no more available on the flight of your choice. Please select one of the available fares or choose another flight/date.





What is the "security code"?

The security code is the last three (3) digits at the backside of the credit card in case you have a Visa / MasterCard or the last four (4) digits at the front side, in case you have an American Express.





The purchase by my credit card has failed. What should I do now?

Kindly be informed that your credit card is charged only in case of a successfully completed purchase.
Since the purchase of your ticket has failed, you can try again. Alternatively, you can contact OA Telephone Sales or to apply to any OA office.





How could I know that my purchase is successful?

You will receive a Confirmation e-mail upon completion of the transaction.





Is this an electronic ticket or a paper ticket?

Olympic Airlines' tickets are electronic (e-ticket) for the majority of our destinations. There are only a few domestic destinations for which we still provide paper-ticket. Soon, they will be replaced by e-tickets as well.
You have an electronic ticket if: you have been given a Booking Reference Number and a Ticket Number, in your confirmation e-mail.
You have a paper ticket if: you are given only a Booking Reference Number in your confirmation e-mail and no Ticket Number.





Do I need to collect my ticket and how?

If your ticket is electronic, there is no need to be collected. You can proceed directly to the check-in desk at your departure-airport, with your travel documents.
If you have a paper-ticket, you should collect it at the OA airport-office before your departure (or earlier if you wish so). Paper tickets should be collected only by the passenger, presenting his/her ID-card or passport.





I want my pet to travel with me. How should I proceed?

In case you want your pet to travel with you, you can apply to an Olympic Airlines' office or to call OA Telephone Sales and inform us about your request. We will make all necessary actions and very soon we will inform you whether your request is approved or not (limited number of pets per flight for security reasons).





Travelling to New York: what information should I provide and how?

Since October 4th 2005, in response to the terrorist threat, legislation was passed making it mandatory for all commercial airlines, members of IATA, to send their passenger and crew data to the U.S. authorities for advance processing. All passengers travelling from Athens to New York should provide details of their permanent address and passengers who are not holders of a U.S. passport should additionally provide information about the address of the place they will be staying at, while visiting the U.S.A.
Special registration requirements:
1. Holders of a U.S. passport:

b. Address of temporary stay in the U.S.

Are there any extra benefits for the members of ICARUS F.F.P.?

For the time being we do not offer extra miles to ICARUS members. However, we will come back very soon, offering extra miles to the members of ICARUS FFP who purchase their ticket via our website.





Do I have to reconfirm my reservation?
 
You have to call the local OA office and reconfirm your reservation 72 hours before departure; otherwise your reservation might be cancelled. This is a standard procedure applied to all airline bookings and for each segment.





I have purchased a ticket but I will not travel. What should I do?

In case you definitely will not travel, you can call OA Telephone Sales in Athens or apply to your local OA office and cancel your reservation. Refund is possible only via our offices and always according to the restrictions of the selected fare. The owner of the credit card should be present and refund is to the credit card (not cash).
