Olympic Airlines respond to the care and safety
of children by offering an Unaccompanied Minor Service
to ensure they are looked after during the trip.
OA guarantee maximum possible safety and a pleasant
experience from take off to arrival.
Information:
l The OA Unaccompanied Minor Service is mandatory
for children 5 to 12 years on domestic / 6 - 12 years
on international flights, who travel alone. Children
accompanied by a person younger than 16 years, are
also considered as unaccompanied minors.
l Young passengers aged between 12 and 16, can
also be treated as unaccompanied minors, upon request
of a parent or chaperon.
l Unaccompanied children may not travel on the
last flight of the day.
l The OA Unaccompanied Minor Service should be
requested upon reservation. The number of unaccompanied
children on each flight is limited.
l During the reservation we request information
regarding the person who will escort the child to the
departure airport and the person who will pick up the
child at the arrival airport. Required information
includes contact details as phone-number etc.
l At the airport, the escort of the child will
be asked to complete an Unaccompanied Minor Form. Requested
information is date of birth, languages, allergies,
special needs and name/address/phone-number of both,
the person who delivers and the person who collects
the child.
l Travel documents (such as ticket, passport,
visa, insurance, information on allergies, declaration
form of parents' consent), will be properly packed
so as the child can securely carry them during the
flight. This package easily identifies unaccompanied
children to our staff on the ground and in the air.
l The person who escorts the child to the airport,
must remain there until flight is departed.
l Unaccompanied children are escorted through
the security check, to the departure gate and onboard.
They are always pre-seated in a special area (upon
reservation) and supervised by the flight attendant
during the flight. They are accompanied through arrival
formalities and then delivered to the person named
on the Unaccompanied Minor Form.
l Valid identification is required regarding the
person who meets the child at the arrival airport,
before the child is delivered to him/her.
