Average Weather Conditions in Greece
 
Greece has a warm mediteranean clima. Summer in the valleys are warm and dry with a clear sky. Dry and hot days are often compensated by a seasonal wind system. The Mountain Areas are much more colder with occaicional rainy days. Winter in the valleys are mild, while Frost and Snow is very rarely. The Mountain Areas in Winter are covered by snow.
 

 
Rain and humidity 
The Volume of Rain varies with big differences between the different regions. The most frequent rainfall are registered throughout October and March, whereas throughout June to August Rainfall is very rarely noticed. The days are dry and warm - a typical mediteranean clima.

The wind in the Aegean   (April till October)
During Summertime and especially between June and mid of August, strong Winds are not uncommon. These Winds are called 'Meltemi'. They blow from North / North East. 'Meltemi Winds' suddenly arise and they can remain active for some days.
